Imagine if a third of your friends were AIDS orphans. That's a reality
in Africa where the parents of 13 million children have been killed by
AIDS. And it's spreading to India, Eastern Europe, and Southeast Asia.
Every era has its defining struggle. The fate of AIDS in Africa and beyond is
one of ours.
We no longer can stand by with watering cans as a continent is on
fire. We need the firehose of education, of compassion, and motivation
to rally our generation to action against this preventable scourge.
We have assembled a team of experts from across the country and around
the world to deliver a comprehensive understanding of this urgent,
complex and preventable pandemic. An African physician, a UN authority
on AIDS/HIV, public health professionals, and researchers will convene
at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine on Saturday, April 21st
in Erie, Pennsylvania to help us wrap our mind around this pandemic
that has already lowered the life expectancy to 35 in some countries.
Come. Learn. Become an agent of change.
